De-installation & Upgrading

De-installing FAOPGP

FAOPGP is de-installed from the Windows Start Menu:

Start >Settings >Control Panel >Add/Remove Programs >ArticSoft FileAssurity OpenPGP

The de-installation process removes all FAOPGP program files and any changes made to the Windows Registry.

Your keystore, 'faopen2.kspgp', remains on your hard disk should you wish to install FAOPGP in the future or upgrade to a new version.  You can delete this manually if you no longer want to use FAOPGP again.  See removing your keystore.


Upgrading FAOPGP

You can upgrade to a new version of FAOPGP without having to de-install the old version.

Just install the new version as normal. 

Your keystore and program settings will remain and be available for use in the new version.

PLEASE NOTE:  FAOPGP is NOT COMPATIBLE with previous versions of FileAssurity.  You cannot upgrade from the non-OpenPGP version of FileAssurity or use it's keystore.
