Running the Installation program

To run the installation program, double-click on setup.exe.

FAOPGP CLS installation is quick and straight-forward. The following text describes the installation process.


Dialogs displayed during installation

1. Welcome dialog. Press 'Next' to proceed with the installation of FAOPGP CLS or 'Cancel' to quit the installation process.




2. License Agreement dialog. The License Agreement dialog displays the license terms available with the product.

Select 'I accept the agreement' to accept the terms of the license agreement and proceed with installation process, or 'I do not accept the agreement' if you don't agree to the terms. If you wish to proceed with the installation of FAOPGP CLS you must select 'I accept the agreement'.


3. Installation Drive & Folder Selection dialog.



Choose the Drive and Folder where you want to install FAOPGP CLS and then press the 'Next' button.  If you want to cancel the installation process at any time press the 'Cancel' button.


4. Start Menu Folder dialog.



Select the folder you want FAOPGP CLS's shortcuts to appear in.


5. Additional icons creation dialog.




6. Keystore location dialog.



This dialog gives you the ability to fix the location of the keystore (this is essential if you want to run FAOPGP CLS as a service because there is no logged in user). If you select the 'This directory' option you can enter or browse to the location of the keystore. If you select the location of an existing keystore (cls.kspgp) it will be used automatically by FAOPGP CLS otherwise a new, empty, keystore will be created. You must choose this option if you want to run FAOPGP as a service, making sure the keystore location is not a folder under a user's profile, and that you and anyone else that wants to use FAOPGP CLS has read and write rights to this folder. If you select the 'Default' option, FAOPGP CLS will install the keystore under the currently logged on user's Windows profile. You may want to choose this option if you only want the currently logged on user to be able to run FAOPGP CLS.

NOTE: You cannot run FAOPGP CLS as a service during the evaluation period since the registration dialog is always displayed. If you would like to evaluate this feature then please email support@locklizard.com who will provide you with a registered time-limited version.


7. Final confirmation of installation settings dialog. This summarizes the settings you have chosen. Pressing the 'Install' button will now install FAOPGP CLS.




8. File extraction and installation progress dialog - shows the progress of installation.




9. Once installation has completed, the following dialog will display.




On pressing the 'Finish' button above, the Keystore Password dialog box will be displayed.  See Logging on for the first time.
